Six friars of Herzegovina laid eternal vows

During the Holy Mass that was celebrated on the altar in front of the church of St. Jacob in Međugorje, on September 15th, and that was led by the provincial of Herzegovina’s Franciscan province, dr. OFM Miljenko Šteko, six friars laid their eternal vows.
132 priests concelebrated, among whom were the general definitor of the Franciscan order OFM Ivan Sesar; educator of the Franciscans OFM Ivan Landek jr., and the parish priest of Mađugorje OFM Marinko Šakota.
The provincial in his homily pointed out that every spiritual vocation is a gift from God that is poured in to the hearts of young men and expressed his contentment that the young friars decided to lay their vows in Međugorje. In the end, he encouraged them to put their difficulties and joy “in front of the cross” and to “walk in novice their whole lives”.
Eternal vows were laid by: OFM Marko Bandić (parish Ružići, OFM Tomisla Crnogorac (parish Posušje), OFM Zlatko Ćorić (parish Mostar), OFM Emanuel Letica (parish Bukovica), OFM Andrija Majić (parish Drinovci) and OFM Antonio Primorac (parish Humac).
