The leader was the Archbishop of Vrhbosna, cardinal Vinko Puljić. The host was the parish priest of Komušina and the guardian of the sanctuary rev. Boris Salapić.

The spiritual exercises began with the evening prayer and the invocation of the Holy Spirit and a brief reflection given by the cardinal.

In the following days, with the prayer and celebration of the Holy Mass, the Archbishop of Vrhbosna held a series of reflections on the following topics: maturity and holiness, the role of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the life of a priest, the profile of a priest and the importance of his spiritual dimension, ie. connection with Christ, as well as about the gift of the Eucharist which is an every day food without which there is no strength for a Christian’s mission.

Towards the end of the spiritual exercises, the deacons pronounced and signed the Confession of Faith, the Oath of Allegiance before the Archbishop and completed their spiritual exercises in the spirit of preparation before the act of priestly ordination on St. Peter’s Day, June 29^th in Sarajevo’s cathedral.
