Spiritual exercises for Croatian priests of Western Europe

Spiritual exercises for Croatian priests and permanent deacons who are active in pastoral in Western Europe were held from March 9th to 12th at the meeting house of the Diocese of Limburg in Wiesbaden-Naurod.

Organized by the Croatian soul-caring Office in Frankfurt am Main, the spiritual exercises were conducted by the Jesuit Father Mirko Nikolić, otherwise a native of Borovica near Vareš in Bosnia and Herzegovina, under the central theme of Samo je u Bogu mir, dušo moja! (Truly my soul finds rest in God)(Ps 62: 2).

On behalf of the organizers, the present were greeted by the envoy rev. Ivica Komadina.

The spiritual exercises were also attended by the director of the Soul-caring for Croats abroad, dr. rev. Tomislav Markić and Envoy for the Croatian believers in Western Europe (France, Benelux, UK and Ireland) rev. Stjepan Čukman.

The central event of the spiritual exercises was the Holy Mass celebrations led by Father Nikolić. It was also an occasion for penitential worship, the Way of the Cross, and reflection on the life of Father Ante Gabrić.

Holy Mass celebrations were animated by OFM Jozo Župić (HKŽ Munich) and rev. Mladen Vuk (HKM Gothenburg).
