The central theme was the message of Pope Benedict XVI on the occasion of the 150^th anniversary of the death of St. John Mary Vianney and the Priestly Year (2009.) and letters from Pope Francis on the occasion of the 160^th anniversary of the death of the parish priest of Arches (2019).

About 30 priests participated in the four-day spiritual exercises, and for the occasion, Msgr. Batelja prepared the booklet Be One Heart and One Soul. The title of the booklet is taken from a will which Bl. Stepinac addressed to his believers and to the Croatian people on May 28^th 1957.

Each of the four days, the priests had an organized time with the leader to discuss the topic of the exercises. As part of the program, holy masses, the way of the cross, the morning prayers, the penitential worship and the sacrament of reconciliation, and the worship of the Blessed Altar Sacrament were organized.
