In Vrhbosna's Theological Seminary (VBS) in Sarajevo, Bishop of Mostar-Duvno and apostolic administrator of Trebinje-Mrkan, Ratko Perić led the spiritual renewal for the theologians on April 5th and 6th.
On the first day, Msgr. Perić discussed the sinister process, the process of conversion and the process of forgiveness, after which there was an opportunity for confession and private adoration in the Chapel of the Annunciation.
After this, there was a concelebrated holy mass during which the Bishop talked about relatives and spiritual relationships, referring to the gospel section in which Jesus' “brothers” are mentioned.
After the dinner, a meeting was held at the rector with the chiefs, and then the bishop talked to the theologians about the important role of mother Barbara in life and the calling of Blessed Alojzije Stepinac.
On the second day of spiritual renewal, the bishop met with the theologians from Herzegovina, Branimir and Tomislav from the fourth course, and Andrej and Gabrijel from the first course. He mentioned how many retired priests there is in pastoral, how many studying, how many are ending their education, and encouraged them to, in their freedom and trust, surrender to God and the Church.
Then followed a reflection on Samaria, and Msgr. Perić also brought closer to the theologians the good Samaritan as an example of how to be compassionate toward each brother/person.
Then, the holy mass was celebrated on which the bishop talked about the panel of symbols in the shrine. He then spoke of Jesus the preacher and of the preaching mission by encouraging the theologians to prepare and study for that priestly ministry.
At the end of the liturgy, the rector, Josip Knežević, wished the leader and all who participated in this spiritual renewal, God's grace and blessing.
