On Saturday, August 8th, another memorial to the first Archbishop of Vrhbosna, Josip Stadler, was marked in the Sarajevo Cathedral. Sarajevo believers, children of Stadler's children's home Egipat and the Sister the Servant of the Little Jesus were present.
The Holy Mass was led by the cathedral parish priest and the dean of the Sarajevo deanery, venerable Mato Majić, who also gave appropriate sermon .
Speaking about the first Archbishop of Vrhbosna, he pointed out that Dr. Stadler wrote in the Rule for his sisters "Maids of the Poor" that they should help old women, the poor, the sick, with the eyes of faith, do everything out of love for God, and patiently endure. He also stressed the importance of burning prayer, patient teaching and ardent love in life for others, and the need to do righteous deeds, emphasizing that the servant of God Stadler did so diligently.
Communion was followed by a prayer at the tomb of Archbishop Stadler with the intention of proclaiming him blessed.
The Eucharistic celebration was preceded by a rosary prayer with appropriate reflections by Stadler about the gracious guidance of the Holy Spirit, which, as well as Holy Mass readings and liturgical singing, was animated by the servant sisters and children from Egipat.
