At the Memorial Day of St. Clare, on August 11th, in the monastery of the same name in Brestovsko near Kiseljak, the Archbishop of Vrhbosna, cardinal Vinko Puljić celebrated the Holy Mass during which sister Nikolina Antičević, from the parish of Gornji Dolac, laid her solemn vows in the hands of the Mother sister M. Hijacinta Batinić.
During the Holy Mass, which celebrated the heavenly patroness of the monastery, the Provincial of Bosna Srebrena, OFM Jozo Marinčić, and about 20 priests concelebrated, among whom were the Dean of Franciscan Theology in Nedžarići, OFM Danimir Pezer and the local son, OFM Danijel Lukić.
In his homily, the cardinal compared the chalice to a soul adorned with many virtues that holds the greatest treasure - Jesus. “If a chalice and a wedding ring can be made of the same gold, then everyone is called to be faithful to their religious or marriage vows, regardless of the various temptations that everyone may have”, said the Archbishop of Vrhbosna.
The parish choir from Brestovsko under the direction of sister Marica Pavlović animated the liturgical celebration.
At the end of the Holy Mass, already traditionally, the faithful were given the blessed cakes of St. Clare.
