The 39th regular meeting of military chaplains was organized


At the memorial of St. Justin, June 1st, Vrhbosna Archbishop Coadjutor and Apostolic Administrator of the Military Ordinariate in BiH Msgr. Tomo Vukšić held his regular 39th meeting with military chaplains at the Rajlovac barracks near Sarajevo. Msgr. Vukšić first met with Brigadier Mirsad Selmanović, commander of the barracks in Rajlovac.

After that, the Archbishop celebrated Holy Mass in concelebration with military chaplains and the presence of Catholic employees of the BiH Armed Forces at services in Rajlovac, Butmir and Butile near Sarajevo.

In the homily, referring to Jesus’ sentence from the Holy Mass readings: “Give the emperor what belongs to the emperor, give God what belongs to God”, and by the example of martyr St. Justin called on those present “to always know how to distinguish the great eternal from ordinary earthly values and to worship only God”.

This was followed by a working part of the meeting in which the military chaplains made reports on the situation in individual military chaplaincies. A review of the past period since the last meeting was made and there was talk about dates and events in the future.
