The Academy in gratitude to the German benefactors

On October 12th, the Archdiocesan Seminary, Petar Barbarić, organized an academy and Holy Mass celebration as gratitude to the German permanent deacon rev. Dieter Falken and his friends from Leun in the parish of Mersburg, Diocese of Magdeburg, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of their help to the people of Bosnia.

At the commemorative academy the words of greetings were said by the rector of the seminary, venerable Željko Marić, who emphasized that the help of good people from Leuna was an encouragement for many families to return to their places of exile during the war, especially in many villages in the upper part of Novi Travnik municipality.

After a brief slideshow of the course of 25 years of helping of the German benefactors in Central Bosnia, a special thank you to Deacon Falken and German benefactors on behalf of Archbishop of Vrhbosna cardinal Vinko Puljić was presented by the Secretary General of the BK BiH Msgr. Ivo Tomašević.

After the academy, a Holy Mass was celebrated in the seminary church of St. Aloysius of Gonzaga. The Eucharist was led by the parish priest from Zavidovići, rev. Stipo Knežević, who was a parish priest of the parish of the Ascension of the Lord in Novi Travnik in the post-war period.

The Eucharistic celebration was animated by the Cathedral mixed choir Josip Stadler from Sarajevo.

After the mass, socialising was organised.
