The Cardinal blessed four stained glass windows in Briješće

On the Sunday of the Baptism of the Lord, January 10th, the Archbishop of Vrhbosna, cardinal Vinko Puljić celebrated Holy Mass in the parish of St. Leopold Mandić in Briješće and blessed four new stained glass windows.

Concelebrating with the Cardinal were the Cardinal's secretary, rev. Fabijan Štedul and the editor of Katolički tjednik and the parish priest, rev. Josip Vajdner.

In his homily, the Cardinal called for the renewal of the awareness of the dignity of the children of God by which all Christians have become by baptism. “We are allowed to call God the Father and address him in this way because we have become children of God through baptism. All other people are God's creatures, and as such truly valuable, but only we can say that he made us his children through baptism”, said Archbishop Vinko and after the Eucharistic prayer he blessed four stained glass windows: St. Joseph the worker, Bl. Alojzije Stepinac, St. Nikola Tavelić and St. Marko Krizin. The stained glass windows were made by the company Staklorad, owned by Pero Oršolić from Tolisa.

The Holy Mass celebration was animated by the parish choir led by Stela Zolota.

After the Eucharist, which was the first cardinal’s visit to any parish after overcoming the coronavirus infection, a gathering was organized.
