The Carmelites in Stup celebrated their patron

Community of the Carmelites sisters in Sarajevo’s Stup celebrated on July 16th the patron of their monastery – Our Lady of Mount Carmel. With participation of 150 believers and with concelebration of ten priests, the Holy Mass was led by the provincial of Franciscan province of Bosna Srebrena, OFM Jozo Marinčić.

At the beginig, the present were greeted by the parish priest of Stup, rev. Miroslav Ćavar, by congratulating the patron to the community of sisters, seven of them that live in the monastery.

The Mass celebration was animated by the sisters, and local son rev. Vlado Vrebac, parish priest in Bijelo Brdo by Derventa played.  

After the Holy Mass, socialising continued in the garden and the premises of the monastery.

This is the first celebration of the patron of the “new setting” of the monastery in Stup, and they prepared for the celebration with novena and triduum.
