The first “hiking” Way of the Cross of young people

On March 26th, young people from the Žepče area and its surroundings, about 100 of them, took part in the first "hiking" Way of the Cross, about 15 kilometres long.

The gathering of young people was in the early morning hours in front of the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Osova, which was also the starting point of the hiking-prayer walk. The pilgrims were hosted and blessed by the parish priest, OFM Antun Perković.

The faithful set out on a long journey under the leadership of the Dean of the Žepče Deanery and the parish priest in Žepče, rev. Predrag Stojčević and rev. Ivan Veriga and rev. Štefan Marković. They were joined by the Sisters Missionaries of Love residing in Banja Luka: sister Emilia from India and sister Consolata from Poland, who shared the testimony of the encounter with God and the revelation of the vocation. Religious teacher Marijan Spajić also shared his testimony about the encounter of the living God in the most difficult moments. The ultimate goal of the Way of the Cross, which, among other things, was filled with prayer and song, was the church of St. Anne in Radunice where they were welcomed by the parish priest rev. Marinko Filipović.

The crown of the day was the Eucharist in the church of St. Anne, led by rev. Stojčević.

In the end, the participants wanted this "hiking" Way of the Cross to become a tradition.
