The nuncio celebrated a memorial service for Archbishop Hoser

Holy Mass of Remembrance for the Apostolic Visitator with a special role for the parish of Međugorje - Archbishop Msgr. Henryk Hoser - on August 26th, in the parish church in that town, was led by the Apostolic Nuncio to BiH, Msgr. Luigi Pezzuto.

Concelebrating with him were, among others: the Archbishop of Vrhbosna cardinal Vinko Puljić; Bishop of Mostar and Duvno, Msgr. Petar Palić; Provincial of the Franciscan Province of Herzegovina, OFM Miljenko Šteko, two bishops and 95 priests.

Credit to Msgr. Hoser was highlighted in the homily by Nuncio Pezzuto who met him as a missionary in Rwanda. He referred to parts of his biography, and then singled out the “valuable contribution that Msgr. Hoser gave in Međugorje, in his three-year ministry, first as a special envoy of the Holy See, and then as an apostolic visitor with a special role for the parish of Međugorje, with a mission of pastoral character”.

At the end of the Holy Mass, the parish priest OFM Marinko Šakota thanked those present, and especially Pope Francis for sending Archbishop Hoser to Međugorje.

The Eucharist was also attended by many believers who thanked God for the mission of Archbishop Hoser.
