On Monday, July 4th, the parishioners of five Zenica parishes made a pilgrimage to St. James of the Marches in Deževice and on that occasion visited the Franciscan monastery and museum in Fojnica.
The pilgrims, 165 of them, were welcomed by the parish priest, rev. Jozo Majić, who briefly introduced them to the history of the parish and the region in the parish church of Our Lady of Snow, as well as the water spring of St. James of the Marches.
Led by the parish priests of Zenica: rev. Josip Šimunović, rev. Anto Dominković and rev. Davor Topić, the pilgrims then visited the spring of St. James, where the Eucharistic celebration was celebrated, led by rev. Davor, and the appropriate sermon was delivered by rev. Anto who spoke about the history of St. James and his exemplary and virtuous life in the context of today’s challenge of living Christianity.
Sisters Gabrijela Hrgić and Katarina Kikić animated the Holy Mass with singing.
After the liturgical celebration, in the afternoon, the pilgrims visited the Franciscan monastery in Fojnica, where they were welcomed by the curator Natalija, who introduced them to the history of the church and the treasures of the museum.
