On Saturday, April 9th, the devotion to the Way of the Cross, which is traditionally performed once during Lent by the faithful of five Zenica parishes, was in memory of the late parish priest in Čajdraš, rev. Božo Markotić.
Led by the parish priest of Čajdraš, rev. Josip Šimunović and the parish priest of the religious community of St. Joseph, rev. Davor Topić, about 70 believers gathered at the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Čajdraš, from where they headed through the village of Lađice, at the top of which is a cross where they celebrated Holy Mass.
Considering that the same day was the 27th anniversary of the death of the late rev. Božo, the parish priest who spent all the last war in Čajdraš and was one of the symbols of the survival of the local Catholic people, this was also an opportunity to mention him in the Holy Mass and thank God for all the good he did.
By the way, the joint devotion of the Way of the Cross of the five Zenica parishes is a post-war tradition, and it is organized every year in another religious community in Zenica.
