Third formation of animators for parishes of Posavina

In the organisation of Youth pastoral centre of Vrhbosna archdiocese John Paul II, in the Pastoral Centre in Odžak from April 12th to 14th, there was a formation of animators for future animators from the parishes of the Posavina region.

This is the third formation, out of a total of four, which is being realized within the program School of animators Youth for youth. This encounter, with theme: Skills and animators' ability to work in the group, was entirely devoted to the skills and techniques of life and work in the group with an emphasis on the practical part. Learning to participate in the life of a group and taking on a role is a very important task in the life of a young person, especially of those who want to devote themselves to serving. The purpose of the meeting in the first part was to explain the basics of the psychology of small groups and the importance of developing group dynamics, and in the second, in which the participants were actively involved, give an example of different exercises for group dynamics.

On the last day of formation, the participants discussed the importance and ways of giving and receiving feedback and evaluation, as well as its role in the process of formatting and building the capacity and experience of the animator who, through reviewing and evaluating of their work, builds, advances and improves it, but also improves the activities it carries out.

The participants of the formation participated in the procession on Palm Sunday in front of the parish church in the parish of St. John the Baptist and the Mass that was led by the parish priest venerable Jakov Filipović.

The meeting was interesting and relaxed for the participants, especially because they already knew each other, so they developed a sense of belonging to the group, and they got to know deeper, through these three formations, their role as future animators in parish communities.
