Coordination of the Croatian and Catholic institutions of the City of Zenica, this year again, on the feast of St. Stephen, on December 26th, organized a traditional Christmas reception for the representatives of the public, religious, cultural and political life of this city and of Ze-Do canton.
More than 300 people gathered, including representatives of the Islamic Community, the Serbian Orthodox Church, leading people from the city led by Mayor Fuad Kasumović, representatives of the Zenica-Doboj Canton Government led by Prime Minister Mirza Ganić and ministers, as well as representatives of cultural life.
In the premises of the Dubrovnik Hotel, the guests first sent greetings for the most joyous Christian holiday - Christmas, after which the parish priest in the parish of St. Elijah, OFM Marko Kepić, greeted everyone present in the name of the organisers. In a welcome address, he spoke of the Bethlehem light that came into the world in the person of Jesus Christ, and said that it was driving away the darkness in this world.
Young Melita and Anes, who sang Silent Night, and a professor at Catholic School Centre Sv. Pavao, Željko Stapić who played during the event, contributed to the nice atmosphere.
