XXII. meeting of the ministrants of the Vrhbosna Archdiocese


In Sarajevo, on May 11th, the XXII. meeting of the ministrants of the Vrhbosna Archdiocese took place. The Holy Mass at the Parish Church of St. Luke in Novi Grad was led by cardinal Vinko Puljić, the Archbishop of Vrhbosna, with the concelebration of 15 priests.

According to the received applications, 368 ministrants from 22 parishes of the Archdiocese attended the meeting. The meeting started with the gathering of ministrants in parish offices in Novo Sarajevo, where they, together with their companions, priests, monks, nuns, theologians and lay people, went to the parish church in the procession.

At the beginning of the meeting the present were welcomed by the host, parish priest rev. Željko Vlajić. After the proclaimed Gospel, the Archbishop of Vrhbosna said an appropriate sermon.

At the end of the Mass celebration, the Coordinator of this year's meeting, the Vice rector addressed the present. The celebration was animated by VIS Emanuel and ended with the Prayer for Synod.

After the Eucharist, the ministrants went on foot to NCM where a refreshment for them was served, and after which sports and recreational program was organized. The competition part took place in several disciplines: mini football for two ages, quiz of knowledge, chess, board game, table tennis and games without borders. The theologians were responsible for the organization, led by the general doctor of VBS Josip Dedić, and the volunteers of the Center led by NCM employee Marija Puljić.

After several hours of competition, cheering and fighting, the program was completed by handing out the cups and diplomas in the NCM’s Renovabis Hall, which were handed out by cardinal Vinko who attended the whole event.
