During the day there was a lecture, a Holy Mass was celebrated and there was an opportunity for personal devotion and confession. More than 250 monks and nuns from all over BiH gathered.

At the beginning, the Bishop of Mostar and Duvno and the Apostolic Administrator of Trebinje and Mrkan, Msgr. Petar Palić addressed the present. Afterwards, the host of the meeting, the parish priest of Međugorje, OFM Marinko Šakota, welcomed those present and thanked God that this year the meeting could be organized, unlike last year when it was absent due to the pandemic. He invited everyone to pray for the, until recently, apostolic visitator with a special role for the parish of Međugorje, Msgr. Henryk Hoser who died on August 13^th.

Welcoming words were also said by: Provincial of the Franciscan Province of Bosna Srebrena and President of the Conference of Senior Religious Leaders of Bosnia and Herzegovina, OFM Jozo Marinčić, and President of the Croatian Religious Conference, OFM Slavko Slišković.

After the welcome speeches, the presentation was given by the Provincial of the Franciscan Province of Herzegovina, OFM Miljenko Šteko, who presented the collection of works of the Congregation for Institutions of Consecrated Life and Society of Apostolic Life Consecratio et Consecratio per Evangelica Consilia.

After the lecture, there was an opportunity for holy confession, which ended the first part of the Religious Day in BiH.

After refreshments and time for personal prayers and devotion, the Holy Mass was led by bishop Palić. Among the numerous concelebrants were: the Apostolic Nuncio to BiH, Msgr. Luigi Pezzuto and the Provincials OFM Jozo and OFM Miljenko.

In the afternoon, an Assembly was organized for the members of KVRPP, whose report will be published later, and at 5 pm, the XXIII. religious day was finished.

Judging by the number of monks and nuns who were present at this meeting, it can be said that the sign of mutual connection was expressed in the best possible way. Because the last meeting was not organized due to epidemiological measures in the fight against coronavirus, this year there were a lot of issues to discuss, listen to numerous reports, plan future steps, but also to meet friends who have not seen each other for a long time.
