During the Eucharistic celebration in the cathedral of the Sacred Heart of Jesus archbishop metropolitan of Vrhbosna Vinko cardinal Puljić, gave the Holy Order of the priesthood, to rev. Ante Vrhovac for the Vrhbosna Archdiocese and OFM Goran Barešić, OFM Dario Džigumović, OFM Želimir Gogiž, OFM Emanuel Josić and OFM Jure Šekerija for the Franciscan Province of Bosna Srebrena.

Prayer and Guarantee
The Archbishop was concelebrated by the Provincial of the Franciscan Province of Bosna Srebrena, OFM Jozo Marinčić, General Vicar of the Archdiocese of Vrhbosna, Msgr. Luka Tunjić and more than 50 priests.

After reading of the readings, the rector of the Vrhbosna Seminary, mr. Rev. Josip Knežević presented a candidate for the Vrhbosna Archdiocese, and the candidates for the Franciscan Province Bosna Srebrena were presented by the master in Franciscan Theology OFM Danijel Nikolić. After their response and with the assurance of the chiefs, the parishioners of the parish communities from whom they came to the opinion of those responsible for their rightfulness to receive the sacred order, the Archbishop elected them for the Order of Priests.

The chosen dish
With the completion of this part of the ceremony, the cardinal gave a special sermon that he began with the words that the feast of the apostles Peter and Paul, encouraging them all to a special prayer for Peter of today, and with role model in Paul - the greatest missionary - to prayer for all evangelizers.

"Observing precisely on the basis of today's gospel, Peter was not chosen because he deserved it, because he was especially virtuous, but because God chose – lucky you Peter (...) You are not chosen because you are the most capable in your family or in your midst, because you are particularly valuable because God has given you the trust, gives you a chance to live and testify that faith, " cardinal Puljić explained, addressing mostly the new priests.

First concelebration
Then came the solemn dress of the garment and the rite of the hand anointment, after which the ordained priests first concelebrated a mass with the archbishop and their other brothers.

At the end of the ceremony, Cardinal congratulated parents and educators of the new priests and distributed the testimony with declarations to the new priests.

A lot of believers attended the service, and with their singing this solemn event was enriched with men from Vrhbosna Seminary and Franciscan Theology.
