Sarajevo parish of St. Joseph in Marijin Dvor, celebrated its patron saint on March 19th. .

The “silent” Holy Mass was led by Msgr. Anto Ćosić. There were six priests in concelebration with the parish priest, and Deacon Vedran Ćosić served.

Given the regulations due to the coronavirus pandemic, there was no liturgical singing. Since the parish patron's celebration had been announced before, about 50 believers have come to the Eucharistic celebration.

In a commemorative sermon, Msgr. Ćosić spoke about St. Joseph and emphasized that this was a saintly figure whom the Church had recognized “relatively late” and recommended for worship. Among the life virtues of the Virgin’s fiancée, he particularly pointed to simplicity and humility, and recommended it to the faithful for imitation and prayerful intercession.

At the end of the Holy Mass, the parish priest explained that Holy Masses would not be celebrated until further notice, but during the day, this church, located in the city center, right next to the main city road, would be open to anyone who wanted to come and pray.
